Understand Quantum Computing| Is it the future???? IBM quantum computer status.

As we all know our tech world is changing at the speed of light and what is extraordinary at present will be a thing of past in the next 6-7 months or less. We are not satisfied with what we have or what we have achieved & i think this is the cause which pushes us to our limit. Around 30-40 years back no one would have thought that our tech would have changed this much and now we have a new guest knocking our doors to explore i.e QUANTUM COMPUTING OR QUANTUM COMPUTATION.

 What is quantum, quantum computing???

I think everyone is familiar with the word "quantum", at our high school everyone studies about quantum theory especially the science students. Quantum is the Latin word for amount and in modern understanding, means the smallest possible discrete unit of any physical property, such as energy or matter.
From many decades we human beings are trying to evolve in the area of computing and i think the next era of computing has already begun with the help of big super power companies like IBM which are making IBM quantum computers. Presently we are using a term known as "BITS" in our computer systems which indirectly mean 0's and 1's but with quantum computing we are going to  use a term known as "Q-BITS".

 Q-BITS??

Well q-bits are based on quantum phenomenon and we know how vast and how amazing these bits work up to some extent. Ever wondered how so many processes in this universe are taking place effectively at the same amount of time and how they are interrelated to each other???

  1. It's a vast topic but let me help you to understand it effectively, we were introduced to a term SUPERPOSITION by Dr Neil's Bohr by COPENHAGEN INTERPRETATION.
  2. A/C to him two particles whether they can be electrons, protons, positrons etc. can exist at the same time at different locations and different time intervals, which came to be known as SUPERPOSITION OF TWO PARTICLES.
  3. Later this idea was challenged by ALBERT EINSTEIN, a/c to him our nature followed some rules and if we are able to understand them we can learn everything about particles and various other phenomenons, a/c to him superposition was just an absurd idea and he challenged it using a experiment which is popularly known as EPR PARADOX.
  4. Bohr in his theory also mentioned that the particles exist in different states at a certain time and whenever we take a look or observe the particles at a particular instant the particles take a certain state.
  5. Particles with each other form a system and have super positions if different states between them so whenever we take a look at them they simply collapse into a particular state and are also entangled to each other.
  6.    A/C to the property of entanglement if a system is created then even if separate the constituents of system at light years distance then we can also observe the same properties and states at those different locations.

Principle of causality violated????

It was also said that the principle of causality which states that :-
The effect from a cause cannot travel faster than the speed of light.
but later on different experimentation's it was proved that the principle of causality was violated in some cases and the properties defined above were right so ultimately Bohr was right....

Use of these properties

Superposition and entanglement will help us to process a vast number of calculations at a faster rate and also with more knowledge and more processing power we will also be able to understand the laws of nature effectively.

Use of quantum computers

In present world even the large supercomputers can perform mathematical operation s at a great ease but they face difficulty in obtaining the factors of such large numbers.
To learn about more practical applications you can refer

Present status of quantum computers

We all know the power of this type of computing but there is still a lot of work needed to make this computers as our primary computers replacing the classical computers.
We have developed some quantum computers, companies like IBM ( IBM-Q, IBM quantum computer) and researchers from top universities like MIT &IQC are really working hard on these projects.
Researchers from MIT & IQC hold the record for most number of q-bits used for a particular experimentation i.e 12.

Our job????

Now we can see that a lot needs to be done in this field of computing and our job is to aware as much people as we can so that people with different ideas can help to make this future become present as we all know that what we can achieve if billions of mind work together.

PEACE☮
