Apple's Step Towards Healthy Environment| Use Of Clean Energy

1. Apple asks suppliers to manufacture products using 100% clean energy.
2. Apple's vice president of environment, policy & social initiatives Lisa Jackson announced the news.
3. Number of suppliers range now increases to 44.
4. Goal of bringing 4 gigawatts of renewable energy in it's chain by 2020.

Apple is one of the biggest companies in the world & every major step taken by them affects the whole world. Big companies are always in competition with each other & sometimes this competition can lead to a great cause. Apple's big step towards clean & green environment is now supported by it's major suppliers including Foxconn, TSMC & other 13 major suppliers.

Company's vice president of environment, policy & social initiatives quoted that

“Every time one of our suppliers joins us in our efforts to address climate change, we move closer to a better future for the next generation”. “We’ve made it a priority to hold our suppliers accountable to the same environmental standards we observe and hope that our collaboration will show others what is possible. While we are proud of our announcement today, we won’t stop driving change within our industry to support the clean energy transition happening globally.”

Company cleared the news but one big question that still remains is that what major step apple will take if suppliers are not able to meet the demands of the company??? Apple has always been one of those companies which are strict towards their rules & image but god knows what will happen in future.
